The award winning Sophos anti-virus engine with industry leading response times for virus signature update services are fully integrated with Secure Firewall. This same engine has recently won an award for its superior detection of 100% of spyware attacks. This embedded solution prevents Internet attacks such as viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, and malicious code from entering an organization's network. The anti-virus and anti-spyware solution is completely integrated into the Secure Firewall GUI, and benefits IT professionals with one point of management, contact for support and only one platform to patch and upgrade. Virus and spyware related attacks will be stopped and logged at your Internet gateway ensuring that the latest malicious code does not reach your client desktops and email or Web servers on the internal network.

The Anti-Virus Function Has Two Components:

1. Virus identity (also known as IDE file): Virus identity files are updated through automated tie-ins to the anti-virus signature database on an hourly basis. Customers can either configure their Secure Firewall anti-virus scheduler to get the IDE file at specific times, or there is also a "Download Now" button.
2. Anti-virus engine: Secure Computing also provides regular (Sophos) anti-virus engine updates with our Secure Firewall patch process.
